In order to be awarded a certificate, you are required to earn (a) 4 credits or more from the introductory courses, and (b) 10 credits or more from two or more from the modules, 14 credits or more in total.

In case that the credits from introductory courses exceed 4 credits, the surplus credits may be counted as Modular courses according to their category. Click here for more details (only Japanese version available)

Some coursework completed in the past (i.e., courses which currently appear on the list of EU-DPs courses) may be used toward the EU-DPs. However, the programme requirement cannot be fulfilled only with the previously completed subjects. After programme entry, undergraduate students must obtain 4 credits of EU-DPs subjects (or submit a research paper).

When several courses are provided in the same course name with different teachers, you can register only for the course with the specified teacher as listed on the EU-DPs Course List.

EU-DP courses can be taken until graduation.

NEW!! Credits earned at a university in an EU Member State and accredited by your school (or by a school to which courses can be transferred) can be included as the course titled ‘Study in the EU’ for up to 4 credits to complete the EU-DPs (as Modular courses according to their category <M1-M4>). Research paper on the EU or Europe

EU-DP Undergraduate students are encouraged to complete their requirements for the Undergraduate Diploma in EU Studies with a research paper. This paper must focus on an EU- or Europe-related matter and be discussed within the context of one or more academic disciplines. In lieu of a separate research paper, students may submit a graduation thesis if it is EU- or Europe-related.

4 credits for coursework can be substituted for a research paper.
