The EU-Japan Friendship Week is organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan in cooperation with partners of EU Information Centres nationwide, to deepen people-to-people relations between Japan and the European Union (EU).

“EU-Japan Friendship Week”, which began in 2001, are events aimed at better understanding to familiarize the Japanese public with the European Union (EU) through various events such as exhibitions, seminars, and film festivals. Starting around 9 May, Europe Day (the anniversary of the founding of the EU), and continuing through July, a variety of events are held in various locations throughout Japan.
