Mr Gyuhoon Park (completed EU Studies Graduate Diploma Programme in Spring 2023)
■Affiliation at the time of completion of the programme: Graduate School of Law, Kyushu University
■Career after graduation: Lawyer in legal office in Seoul, South Korea

I decided to study at Kyushu University to research the development of international criminal law, focusing on the concept of ‘crimes against peace’ during World War II. The EU-DPs subjects I studied for a year (e.g., Roman Law, Public International Law, International Criminal Law, and Political History) became a very important framework for my research. After completing my long-desired study in Japan, I returned to my original job as a lawyer. Now I am preparing to publish a book on ‘crimes against peace’ and international law based on my studies at EU-DPs. I encourage all students who want to learn more about European law and politics to register for EU-DPs.
